Surge protection - SPD type 3

The Type 3 SPD is a fine protection mostly used to protect extremely sensitive and expensive equipment or office equipment such as computers, TV sets, audio/video equipment and other computer equipment. Type 3 SPDs are most often installed in the form of so-called protected sockets or protected extension sockets as close as possible to the connection point of the electronic equipment, both in residential and business areas. Type 3 surge protection devices are also available with an integrated RF interference suppression filter to protect against RF interference.
